Lazulite crystallizes in the monoclinic system but material from Madagascar is from a massive non crystalline deposit. Lazulite is a fairly rare stone which has a range of colour intensities from lighter blue with sometimes banded colour distribution else more solid colours of deeper darker blue. The material itself tends to have
